Friend's question - she keeps talking to strange people in facebook

This is a question that has actually come up from a friend of mine. He has a issue with his girlfriend who keeps adding strangers on Facebook and talks to them late into the night. They have had confrontations on this apparently but she said to him - if she doesn't talk to other people and socialise she would get bored of him.

Personally I find the last line absolutely outrageous. Still in this day of social networking - how should one combat this issue? I'm sure this is a problem we all face with our partners at some point. Any views.

Yes the last line is absolutely outrageous!
How she can say such thing so easily? unbelievable!
Well for socialization we normally talk and meet people we know like friends, colleagues, relatives etc etc .
She has him, friends, relatives... i don't think she will get bored from all of these people.
Talking to strangers late night is not socialization. I think its something addiction and this is not good for any relation.
I want to be wrong here for your friend but i think she is not serious with him.

I would suggest that he should try to realize her that its not socialization and its not good. May be that work.

And if that doesn't work he can also try to show that she is also not important to her and do similar things with her like avoid her, talk less, starts talking with other people even stranger... i mean anything which can caught her attention. And if she reacts to it then he can realize her this is what she is doing with him.
But if she doesn't react well then i think she is not serious.

I think the problem is where people forget to draw lines. Perhaps it is alright is to speak to an extent but @RKDel that last line of her getting bored is what changes the entire thing. That one line just says that she doesnt respect this relationship of him as well. i think he should confront this and tell her his feelings and eventually take some sort of call.

@SnapDragon44 I have some views on this based on reversed psychology. If he really wanna know whats going on and I am at his place. I would have been made one fake account , add her, talk to her as stranger and about her Bf (oneself) and see her response what she says.
