This may sound funny but it seems that Prince charming is rather a gay phenomena for 2 reasons:
1) Modern girls prefer to be self-reliant and independent. They want to tend for themselves instead of being saved.
The myth of the helpless lady waiting to be saved from the tower is merely an entertainment concoction and most women find it repugnant even distasteful.
2) Prince charming has nothing to do about a handsome metrosexual riding on white thing, whether a car or a horse.
Most girls nowadays would prefer a simpler version of a man who is independent, attentive and without much fanfare.

So, whose idea is the handsome metro-sexual at the end of the day? Girls's? Or men's?
