I am under stress this days, even I got a great story of my current life which you will find funny but for our parents it's the opposite. Let me give you a short summary :

1.Dad it's time to find a girl for you, no worries for you, if you want you can marry her after few years; We are ok with you waiting.(Arrange marriage, Community: Rajput).

2.Me: I can't do it. I have to Study for MS,Career,etc (inner me - It's because I love someone who's outside our case).

3.My Elder Sister: Papa iski hai already brahmin hai wo ladki ,ye sirf bahana kar raha(Transaltion: Dad he already love someone and she's brahmin! He's just making excuses).

4.Me to Dad:I find no problem here. You restricted me with high caste, I got one.

5.Dad: She have to be Rajput. I'll give you two option :

 a.Leave her and marry to the girl from our community.
 b.Marry her and either I suicide or you leave to other country and get settled with her.

This is sad :frowning:
When this fucking Indian society will change?
Sometimes I feels that it is changing and people are getting open minded. But I think its still a log way to go.
Many young Indians faces this problem. And all this because of this bullshit Indian society.
I don't know why Indian parents cares more about society then their children.
I will suggest him to take option (b). It's better to live a life with someone whom you knows and love than depending on your destiny in arrange life that's too in this fucking indian society.

And I also thinks that his parents will change with time and will accept her.

IT's BETTER TO DIE ONES THEN DYING AGAIN AND AGAIN.

unfortunate situation. paralytic situation and old traditions of the stupid indian values. option b. the blackmailing doesn't stop here. it will slither in all the other areas of his life. get out, make your life. Your parents did what they had to do in their time. Now it is your turn. i don't know when things will change. this is the reasons for unhappy marriages, infidelities and dysfunctional relationships.

I feel this is what makes every couple sad. Why the hell it is always difficult with most parents?
Why can't they just be happy that their child has found true love and saved them from hassle.

Specially in case of girls, in pressure of society parents are ready to ruin all happiness of their own daughter and pay huge dowry from their hard earned savings, spend money on wedding to please other party. Where is logic in all this ?? Who will be happy in the end of all this ?

Parents after spending their retirement fund on wedding :: NO !!
Girl :: Hell NO !!
Boy Without a happy and supporting wife :: NO !!
Other relatives/society :: they don't give a fuck about your future, just like to eat and drink like pigs on wedding night
