That’s because almost half of India’s engineers put their (hands) into our code trying to fix things which in return resulted in even more things gone wrong. Eventually it became so messed up that we had to start building everything from the beginning.

And so we did!

And I wouldn’t want to brag about it so much but rather offer yet another apology to our first 10,000 guests who had to suffer with slowly loading site, crashes, interrupted payment, over laps and bhagwan knows what else.

You persevered just like we did and you stick with us

You said things like – Me and my girlfriend can only trust you guys. Hope you fix the issues soon.

That sort of moved us. Very deeply.

A newer, better, refreshing StayUncle portal just launched. And it will keep getting better.

The glitches most of you have been experiencing for the past 7 months are now historic. They will gloriously be cited in India’s history books 20 years from now.

We’ve tried to build a lightweight easy to use tech portal so that you can comfortably book a room for couples straight from the bar where you sit while simultaneously practice your pickup lines or smooches someone.

Few guidelines and explanations on how to make the best use of it

User Login

We have finally caught up with 21st century tech trends. To enable you to manage your own active bookings, refund requests and cancellations we have built a profile module which will display all your present and past reservations and manage them the way you want, change dates of stay, request cancellations.

No more need to call our Praveen uncle and listen to his grudge voice.

Local ID checkin vs Holiday destinations

This will be one of the major updates in this version.

So far all of our hotels have been allowing both local and non local ID checkin for couples and that is why the number of options was limited

From now onward we will also display hotels that allow only other city ID checkin.

If you come from other city and want a couple friendly room in the city you are travelling then you can drag to Holiday destination and have lot more options available for booking

If your ID is from the same city where you want to stay then you can use the local ID module. The hotels displayed there will be slightly lesser in number but the old promise will stay – they will accept local ID checkin with no questions asked.

Hotel Reviews

In the next few days we shall roll reviews for most of our hotels we have been collecting from guests via various support and email channels. You will also be able to post your own reviews anonymously or under your own name. About time you start bragging about your StayUncle achievements don’t you think??
